The export sector is largely responsible for the growth in Q2
![]() According to new figures from the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (Központi Statisztikai Hivatal, KSH), the last quarter's GDP has grown 1% compared to the year before. Whereas compared to the first quarter of 2010, the GDP is about the same. The industrial gross output increased by 9% compared to July 2009, and if the index is adjusted to take into account weekends and workdays, the increase was 11.5%. The various sectors performed differently in the second quarter, with the service and construction industries shrinking and the export sector growing ever so slightly. Household expenditure was also down showing that the population is being more careful with their money. This also helped the GDP to grow. |
