The woman said that she was a former girlfriend of the actor, and that he had called her telling her to come over to pick up the rest of her things.  Their relationship had been over for a while when he called almost out-of-the-blue.

When she arrived, she was attacked, beaten and then raped by the actor.  Video footage shows the actress leaving the actor's apartment building with visible injuries.

The Municipal Court decided to hold Damu because they believed him to be a flight risk.

Damu's lawyers told MTI and said that they would be lodging a formal complaint about the actor's treatment and his continued detention.  Gábor Papp and György Szigethy are representing Damu and say that their client is guilty and would like to take a polygraph.

Police say that Damu and his ex-girlfriend went up to the actor's flat on November 17 at around 8pm.  He then beat her and raped her as she screamed for help.  He eventually let her go and she went home in a taxi.

Once at home, she spoke to a friend, who then called the Police on her behalf.

The 28-year old woman was taken to hospital to have her injuries examined and documented.  She was interviewed by Police in the hospital and decided to press charges there.

Roland Damu is a regular player in the TV2 series "Jóban Rosszban," which translates as "in good times and bad."  The show has been on-air since 2005.
