Jimmy Zámbó was one of Hungary's most popular singers when he died on Jaunary 2, 2001 as the result of what Police reported was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  The Police investigation at the time determined that Zámbó's death was a tragic accident.

Zámbó was annoyed by a cockerel that was making a lot of noise.  He shot at it with a pistol and was then told not to by his wife because the gun was so loud.  He then went to find another larger-calibre gun to demonstrate what a loud gun really sounds like.   He then pointed the gun at his wife who told him not to play with guns.  He then put the gun to his head, saying "it's not loaded, don't you understand, it's not loaded."

He pulled the trigger, the gun went off, and Zámbo fell to the ground with a fatal gunshot to the head. The investigation decided that Zámbó didn't know there was a bullet in the chamber which is why he pulled the trigger.  The forensic team found gunpowder residue on his hands and on no-one elses.

Éva Hulé was there when the gun went off.  Contrary to all other testimony, she says that Zámbó was not holding the gun when it went off. As only three people were in the room at the time - Zámbó, his wife, and Hulé - it is clear that Hulé is accusing Zámbó's wife of murder.  She is also accusing the members of Zámbó's family of conspiring to pervert the course of justice and of covering up the crime.
